The Regional Debt Coordinating Committee (RDCC) was established by the Monetary Council

24th November 2000

The Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission (ECSRC) was established.

October 2001

Four financial entities were licensed to be broker dealers:

ABI Bank, Bank of Nevis, Bank of Saint Lucia, National Commercial Bank of St Vincent.

April 2002

Two more financial institutions became licensed broker dealers:

Antigua Commercial Bank and St Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank.

July 2002

The Government of St Kitts & Nevis conducted a road show across the ECCU, in collaboration with the ECSE and the fiscal agent.

23rd -24th November 2002

The first auction was held on the RGSM.  Government of St Kitts and Nevis 10-year bond of EC$75m with a fixed price of 7.5%.

December 2002

National Mortgage and Finance Company (NMFC) of Dominica became the seventh licensed broker.

March 2003

FINCOR based in Grenada became the eight licensed broker dealer

26th March 2003

The first 91-day Treasury bill issued on the market was by the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines.  This was the second Government to issue on the RGSM.

29th April 2003

Signing of the administrative procedures between RDCC and ECSRC.

16th July 2003

The first 365-day treasury bill issued on the RGSM was by the Government of Grenada. Grenada became the third Government to issue on the RGSM.

31st December 2003

Eleven (11) auctions were recorded on the RGSM in 2003. All were Treasury Bills.

19th January 2004

Saint Lucia became the fourth Government to issue on the RGSM.

23rd July 2004

First 5-year bond issued – Government of Saint Lucia.

25th November 2004

First 6-year bond issued – Government of Saint Lucia

31st December 2004

Eighteen (18) auctions recorded on the RGSM in 2004 – 13 Treasury Bills and 5 bonds

January 2005

Caribbean Money market Brokers (CMMB (based in Trinidad & Tobago) became the ninth licensed broker on the RGSM.

3rd February 2005

Lowest interest rate recorded on the RGSM to date – 3.90% for the Government of Saint Lucia, 91-day treasury bill.

July 2005

National Bank of Anguilla was the tenth broker to join the RGSM.

CMMB opened a branch in Saint Lucia.

28th October 2005

One billion dollars was raised on the RGSM

Eighteen (18) auctions recorded on the RGSM in 2005 – 16 Treasury Bills and 2 bonds
