ECCB Sports

Each year, since 1996, the ECCB brings together all the members of its various departments in the spirit of camaraderie. The three houses: Blue Blazers, Gold Nuggets and the Green Eagles wage friendly battle for the title of Pre-sports Champions and ECCB Sports Day Champions.

During Pre-sports, houses compete in 12 disciplines: Scrabble, Chess, Table Tennis, Draughts, Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Dominoes, Darts, Netball, Football and the Unity Walk. This exciting period stirs up the energy of management and staff in preparation for Sports Day.

The Spirit of the House extravaganza is also held a few days prior to Sports Day where members of each house demonstrate their talents in a parade of performances in homage to their respective houses.

On Sports Day, athletes, dressed in house colours, come ready to compete and enjoy a fun-filled day with their supporters and counterparts. They vie for the Sports Day Championship in a number of events including: Cricket, Lime and Spoon, Needle and Thread, Sack Race, Bottle Balancing, Track Races, Hula Hoop, Balloon Tossing and the Dizzy Bat Race.
